What do you need?
a toilet roll
white drawing paper
coloured paper, red and yellow
pair of scissors
glue stick
a yellow pipe cleaner
felt tip pens
Today we make little Sinterklazen, very easy to do with toilet rolls. We cut and paste because that's what we love! And then we give the Sinterklaas a nice spot. They look so cozy in the sitting room, the monsters have done their best!
How to make a little Sinterklaas
Stick white paper on the rolls, fold the ends inward.
Cut a red coat for the Saint.
Cut a beard out of white paper.
Cut a mitre for Sinterklaas out of red folding sheets.
The cutting shows that our Sinterklaas crafters are no longer toddlers, but 7 - 8 year olds. Preschoolers can also make this craft. Cutting is simply a difficult job for young children, so help where necessary but let them do as much as possible themselves.
We cut sticks, for the mitre.
Then we stick on the coat.
Stick on the mitre, cross, and beard.
Stick on hands or not, draw the face or don't,, whatever you like.
Stick the staff, made of the bend pipecleaner, on Sinterklaas.
We wish you a wonderful Sinterklaas celebration!
