What do you need?
empty glass jar
pencil and paper
sticky tape
school glue (clear or opaque)
black acrylic craft paint
liquid stockmar watercolour
paint brush
permanent large marker
In summer, a homemade lantern can be an asset too, just look at our pretty lighthouse. The olderr monsters can make this lantern very nicely themselves, it is not too difficult for them. For the little ones, we look for a lantern that is easier to make, there are enough lanterns to find on snazzie! But... the little monsters would also like such a beautiful lighthouse in their own room and of course that is fine too! We will do our very best:))
How to make the Lighthouse lantern
Draw a simple light house, using a pencil on paper.
Trace your picture on the jar with a marker.
Then trace the felt tip marker lines with an acrylic paint pen.
Lay the jar aside and allow the paint to dry thoroughly
Fill in the drawing with watercolour and let the paint dry.
Place a candle in the Light House and wait for dusk to light it.
The Light House lantern shines beautiful, a lovely light in the dark!
