We read all about water on snazzie this month, good to know if you live in a water country. Also fun are water experiments and today we make a water wheel. Because a water wheel can drive machines or, for example, a mill, which is then called a water mill.
In the Netherlands you now usually see a water wheel in a museum, they are no longer used here. But they are indispensable in Africa and Asia, where they are mainly used in agriculture. Because agriculture without water wheels is unthinkable and impossible there.

How to make a water wheel
Push the skewer through the ball.
This ball has divisions.
Make a notch on each line (8).
Stick in ice cream scoops.
Lucky there are 8 lines on the styrofoam ball, then it is not difficult to stick in the ice scoops at an equal distance.
Cut the top off the milk cartons.
Prick two holes on equal height.
Stick the water wheel in between.
Now we move the water wheel outside and we take a large bowl with us
Fill the milk cartons with sand to make them stand firm.
Fill a watering can and see how the wheel scoops up the water.
The more water you pour the faster the wheel spins!
