Basic recipe vanilla cupcakes
250g butter (room temperature)
250g caster sugar
1 sachet vanilla sugar
4 free range organic eggs (room temperature)
250g self-raising flour
4 tablespoons milk (room temperature)
optional 2 teaspoons cocoa + 15 ml water
Decoration
orange and green marzipan
black marzipan
little piece of chocolate
licorice laces
confetti sprinkles
We bake Halloween cupcakes for the little ones, they are eerily tasty! The cupcakes in our basic recipe are perfect for a children's treat. They have vanilla or chocolate flavor without filling, which every child likes. The marzipan can be easily removed. So they are perfect for Halloween!
How to make pumpkins from the vanilla cupcakes
Knead some orange marzipan.
Roll it out thinly.
Cut out circles with a glass.
Press them on the cakes, smoothen the edges.
Make grooves in the pumpkin and a pointy top.
Roll a small green cylinder between your hands.
Twist the green cylinders on a skewer.
Press the green twister on to the pumpkin.
Make pumpkin faces from black marzipan.
Melt the choclate and colour the stumps brown.
How to make spiders from chocolate cupcakes
Cut pieces liquorice as legs, cut 8 legs for each spider.
Insert 4 leggs on each side of the cupcake (insert deep!).
Cut out black marzipan circles, press them on the cupcakes.
Press yellow sprinkle eyes on the spider heads.
