With our youngest mini-monsters we make suns today, after all that rain. That they have their own idea about the sun may be clear ;)
If the real sun shines through it gives our sun a pretty effect. In nice weather you can hang the sun outside or hang it inside, in front of a window.
How to make a sun
Print our PDF, cut it out.
Tape the halves on each other.
Trace the sun on the cardboard.
Cut out the cardboard sun.
Cut the circle from the PDF.
Trace it on the sun.
Draw a cross in the center.
Prick a hole in the middle.
Cut it open to the edge.
Cut out the 4 pieces.
Cut the same sun again.
Here are the selfmade suns of our youngest. Left: The rings of the universe, right: a self cut out sun.
Paint the print sheet yellow.
Paint immediately over with red.
Let the paint dry thoroughly.
Place the print sheet in between.
Trace the circle then cut it out.
Pipe on gold paint.
Sprinkle glitter on the wet paint.
Punch a hole into the sun, lace a thread.
Hang the sun in a sunny spot.
