On May 5th it is Liberation Day in The Netherlands, the day World War ll ended and all the people in Holland were free again. A very important day.
On the 4th of May it is Rembrance Day. All the people who perished in the war will be remembered. At 8 o'clock PM we are silent for two minutes and think of them.
That's why we make these red-white-blue lanterns, in the colours of The Netherlands.
Brush glue paste onto the glass jar.
Wrap thin strips crepe paper around the jar.
Thinly apply Modpodge to the paper, let it dry.
Eefje checks now and than if the lights are dry already ;D
Glue ribbon aroud the top and place a LED light inside the lantern.
Shine your light on May 4 and 5 for peace and freedom in the world.
