a big darning needle

The Chinese New Year starts on January 25 and 2020 is the year of the rat. We already made these fun photo frames in 2013, today they will be repeated. This photo frame is made quickly and it is a nice gift for the Chinese New Year. Hopefully the bead dolls are still available at Xenos, otherwise you can craft the dolls from clay. Then this craft takes a little longer but is also fun to do. You can download the Chinese characters.

How to make the picture frame
Place a dot on every 2 cm on top of the picture frame.
Drill a hole with the darning needle on every dot.
Cut off the sharp point from a wooden skewer.
Push the stick into the bead with a drop of glue.
Drip glue on the pointed side and push it into the frame.
Press the bead firmly onto the frame, let the glue dry.
Write Chinese character on the frame with a gold marker.
Decorate the picture frame with Chinese characters and glitter glue.
Place a cute photo in the picture frame and your gift is ready!
