Pietjes plakken 6

With so many Pieten discussions the atmosphere around the Sinterklaas festivities are not getting any better, everybody is digging their heels in the sand. But Sinterklaas is a children's party, which seems to be forgotten in the heath of the animosities. For years, though snazzie.nl's team stood on the quay as the Sint arrived by steamboat. Along with a sea of parents and children of all origins and in all colors of the rainbow. It was always wonderfully exciting, kids full of expectation, all together, everyone was happy and sang along. Let it stay this way for the children, let us this year build another carefree party together, with Sinterklaas and his Pieten.

Craft multicolored Pieten or the traditional, as long as we can have a peaceful children's party! Madelief and I made all the Pietjes when she was almost three years old, today I make them with Eefje (Madelief's little sister).

Madelief is trying very hard! A glue stick is still quite difficult when you're almost three, sometimes you get glue on your finger. Help is at hand, together we succeed better. But you prefer to do everything yourself, even if you are only three. This applies to both ladies!

Cover the Styrofoam ball with crepe paper and fasten it with tape, this is Piet's head.

Role an empty roll in colored crepe paper for Piet's body and glue it.

Fold a strip of crepe paper double, sew a thread through, for the collar.

Glue the collar around the top end of the roll, paste the head on the collar.

Glue a strip of pleated crepe paper on cardboard. Let the glue dry with clothes pegs.

Glue the cardboard strip together and let it dry. But don't stick the cap on Piet's head. De kids can do it themselves.

Prick holes in the roll, stick chenille 'arms' through them. Already cut two hands, mouth and eyes.

Paste to the bottom of the roll loosely crepe paper as shorts. Glue chenille in the bottom of the role as legs.

Now it's your turn: now you adorn your own Pietje, just like Madelief and Eefje

Your Piet seems almost finished, but now you decorate him really pretty! You can use your imagination to make what you want Piet to wear but bottom page we give you some tips.

Stick a cute face on Piet, wobbly eyes look nice too. Glue pompom's on his coat.
