Today we read a cute museum book from England, because the Natural History Museum is located in London. Who is going to this museum today? None other than Winnie the Pooh! Who does not love him? As true fans of this extraordinary bear it takes some getting used to that this story was written by the British writer Jane Riordan and that the illustrations were made by the also British Mark Burgess.
But the story is really nice and funny and the drawings are cute and fun as well but the originals are so perfect that we have to give this book one star less but with a little +. It is impossible to match the underlying humor and wisdom of the original stories and the same goes for the illustrations. Pretty as this booklet may be.!
Christopher Robin goes with Winnie the Pooh, Piglet and Eeyore fout on a day at the Natural History Museum in London. What an adventure! But Eeyore thinks differently, he prefers to stay home in his corner.
Winnie asks: "Will we be back in time for lunch?". "Don't worry", says Janneman, "we'll take a picnic." At the word picnic Winnie is ready to go and off they go then! Read the story for yourself if you want to learn about their museum adventures, it's a very nice booklet.
2+ stars for Winnie the Pooh - A day at the Natural History Museum, from the little listeners and their readers!
