We are reading Albatros to the little monsters, a beautiful book by Yorick Goldewijk. The book has a stunning cover—created by Martijn van der Linden—that matches the story very well in terms of atmosphere and colours. The story itself has no illustrations, but we don't miss them much in this book. It is such an original and strange story when it begins; you just want to know what happens next.
It is not an easy book, but it is certainly worth reading; it stays in your mind. We could hardly put the book down. Every now and then you are caught off guard and the story takes a very surprising turn. But everyone here thinks it is a wonderful book, from young to older, so do read it, you certainly won't regret it!
