At the end of The National Reading Days a funny picture book for pre-schoolers: If I had a dinosaur. The story was written by British author Gabby Dawney and illustrator Alex Barrow made the cheerful prints and together they are really fun! We would also like to give a compliment to Bette Westera for the wonderful translation. A Hercules task, translating a British rhyming text to rhyme so beautifully in Dutch!
In the United Kingdom, this book won the Bath, Book, Bed Award, very much deserved, we believe! The short rhymes and the great illustrations are so catchy, we keep reading the book and the mini monsters keep asking for more :D No problem, if the National Reading Days are over by tomorrow, it's still a party for us!
