4 squares frozen puff pastry
150g blackberries
2 eating apples, Elstar for example
30g soft light brown sugar
powdered sugar
Optional: 250ml double cream
These apple blackberry pastries are quickly made and they taste divine! Nice with Sunday afternoon tea.
How to make apple blackberry pastries
Defrost the puff pastry and preheat the oven to 200°C
Peel and core the apples, then dice them.
Wash the berries and fold them into the apples.
Sprinkle the soft sugar on the fruit and stir it gently.
Cut shapes out of the top side of the puff pastry.
Spoon a strip of fruit on to the puff pastry.
Fold in the dough and seal the edge with water.
Place the pastries on waxed paper on the oventray.
Bake the pastries golden brown and puffy in 15 minutes.
Serve the pastries with whipped cream or powdered sugar, delicious!
