Pyramide side ll

To build a pyramid you need a lot of building blocks, we make them from gypsum. Gypsum to pour is made in the ratio 2:1, which means 2 parts gypsum on 1 part water.

If you have 1 silicon ice cube tray  only, you have pour a lot, we assume 3 trays of whole blocks and a few holes with half blocks.

Measure gypsum and water.

Pour the water in a large cup.

Stir the gypsum in the water.

Pour the gypsum into the ice tray.

  • Tap the mold gently on your work surface to remove little air bubbles.
  • Allow the bricks to dry overnight in the mold and a day out of the mold, then the are really dry on the inside.
  • You need at least three trays of building blocks so reapeat the gypsum pouring.

Allow the blocks to dry thoroughly.

Lay out the blocks, measure the perimeter.

Draw the square on cardboard.

Cut out the cardboard base.

With just gypsum you can not firmly secure the blocks, the masonry is just too make the pyramid look more realistic. We glue the blocks on with contact glue for solidity. Contact glue means you have to put glue on both sides, let dry 5-10 minutes then press the blocks on.

Mix a mug gypsum, make it slightly thinner than before.

Plaster the exterior of the bottom halve.

Download the top of the pyramid, cut it all out.

The cardboard top can stay loose then you can decorate the interior of the pyramid and place the sarcophagus inside.
