If you love to have spring flowers in the garden, you need to plant bulbs in september. You put the crocuses, grape hyacinths, daffodils and tulips in the ground or you plant them in large pots right away. Place the pots in the shed, if case of frost the pots may crack. The Snowdrops are the first, in January/February, the the Crocus follows, February / March is it's flowering season, depending on the weather. The other spring bulbs will bloom at the earliest in March / April. If your find planting bulbs too much hassle then you can buy them at the garden center almost in bloom and repot them at home.
Gently pull the clump of bulbs from the plastic container.
Place them in some soil in a vase or jar.
Cover with soil with moss.
Tap into your creativity when re-potting, place the bulbs sorted by sort or make a mix of colours.
Do not water the bulbs much, just keep the soil lightly moist.
