Today we're going to the Kunsthal. There's a really fun exhibition that the monsters are dying to see. There are actually two fun things for them, but we're doing one at a time because we want to take our time and see everything. So they have to choose, and that's always tough! ;))
We finally agree that we'll go to the CUTE Summer Party today—although that exhibition runs until November 23rd—and next week we'll go to The Grand Summer Art Croquet, which runs until August 31st. The inspiration for The Grand Summer Art Croquet comes from Alice in Wonderland, among other things, and anyone with a ticket is welcome—no reservations required!
As we walk downstairs, everything is pink, and that's how it should be, because pink is, of course, the cutest color! When we arrive downstairs, we're speechless, so much cuteness, everywhere you look. The little monsters don't know where to go to first. Everything is cute! How about those big fluffy clouds with sweet faces? So cute!
There's the most beautiful Kawaii art on the walls, with Kawaii girls and adorable animals. And then Mum spots something familiar: The Care Bears are here as well! She had such a bear, when she was a little girl. How cute are they, and they are here in every colour of the rainbow!
We see all sorts of cute Japanese characters that are probably less well-known in the Netherlands, but we love them anyway. It's very hard not to love something so cute; the rosy cheeks, the bright eyes with little white dots, and the smiling mouths are so appealing. The little monsters pay a lot of attention to everything in sight. Especially for My Little Pony, of which we have stickers, at home.
But of course, we won't show you everything; go visit the Kunsthal yourself! This exhibition isn't just fun for little monsters but many parents will enjoy it too. The Kunsthal also has a brand-new restaurant with a large outdoor terrace in the park. It's a lovely place to sit, in the sunshine or under a parasol.
We all have a coffee or tea with a delicious treat and then the kids can run around for a little while. Everyone's having a great day! Before we walk to the Metro to go home, we just want to buy a souvenir. But that's quickly decided; we all agree and choose a small poster of the cutest kitty in the world, the one from CUTE. :)))
Happy Holidays!
