Green candy melts
Do the little monsters want Cake Pops for Earth Day? Of course that's fine, they're done in no time! But then disaster strikes... we didn't start as early as usual, and it turns out we used up all the green candy melts in Marc, for St. Patrick's.
Ordering online isn't an option; it takes too long. By then, Earth Day will be over, and the little monsters will be sorely disappointed this afternoon. We made the cake pops yesterday already and a beautiful storybook is chosen. We melt the white candy melts and stir in some green food colouring; it's not perfect, but it will have to do.
How to make Earth Day Cake Pops
The cake pops are ready and waiting in the fridge.
We are melting the blue candy melts.
We pour it into a glass, which dips easier
Dip the candy pops under and tap them off.
Place the pops upright in a small glass.
Keep going, because the candy melts dry quickly.
Allow the candy melts to really dry well and the start on the land on earth ;))
Melt the white candy melts.
Quickly stir in the colour.
Pipe little blobs onto the pops.
Flatten the blobs.
Dip your index finger into a little water and shake it off then press the blob gently flat
It's how you smoothen the continents, but let them dry a little longer.
The tea is brewed, the book is waiting, and the little monsters think the Earth Cake Pops are beautiful. Hurray!
Happy Earth Day to all!
