When we bought De Bodemschat by author Judith van der Stelt, we thought the book ticked all the boxes for great success with the mini-monsters. Quite frankly, with us too. Animal books are always favorite here and a typically Dutch story with the beach and the sea with all it's unknown inhabitants which also takes place on a Wadden Island, what a great idea!
The author gives a lot of information about the beach and marine animals, from the smallest shrimp to the seagull. That information - especially on unknown little sea creatures - is what the monsters really like about the book.
What makes us all happy are the beautiful drawings by Martijn van der Linden. (Watch his video!!). The execution of the book is very beautiful, it is filled with illustrations and we love that. So we are very happy with our new book!
