De Effies aan de bal

Dutch Children's author Vivian den Hollander knows what children love to read! Our little football fans are reading us a fun read-aloud book from her series, The Effies: The Effies on the Ball. The name says it all: the youngest footballers are called Team F, or "the Effies" in street language.

This football book contains three stories: Four Against Four; The Effies Go to Camp; and The Hero of the Field. The reading level is AVI M4. The stories are funny, cozy and very recognizable for young football players. Our little monsters love to read this book out-loud to us, it makes practicing reading fun!

The cheerful illustrations of the Effies book, created by illustrator Saskia Halfmouw, perfectly complement the stories. They capture the joy and Dutch camaraderie of playing football with your friends, going to camp and having a party. (Sadly only in Dutch)
