The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson-Burnett is one of the most beautiful books in British literature for youth. The story is about Mary, an orphan who comes to England to live with her guardian. She is allowed to roam everywhere except in the walled garden, that is stricktly forbidden. Why? Mary wants to know. but that's a secret! Can Mary find out the secret? She's going to try anyway!
The old story has been beautifully translated and retold by Imme Dros, so that it is easy to read for today's children. If you read the book, you will notice that she loves the story a lot, just like we do. Warmly recommended, this edition of The Secret Garden.
