Now that we are just ready for a new book, that book might as well be The World of the Gorgels (do mind, only in Dutch). We didn't know there was also a Gorgels picture book, not very attentive of us! But now that we have the book in our hands, we also like it very much.
The illustrations by Rick de Haas are great, the atmosphere of the story is very well matched. But we already knew that Rick de Haas is a super illustrator, from the books about Mees Kees. No wonder the book has been awarded by the Dutch Children's Jury!
