This series of nature books (2017) by Walloon author Bernadette Gervais was an instant hit with our mini-monsters! Today we read The Mushroom with them for the umpteenth time, because the book is still appeeling to them.
The flaps contribute a lot to the fun and the monsters understand the information better and better as they get older every year. In this way, the books 'grow' on the children for a number of years and that is very nice!
The design of these book series is very modern. The illustrations are calm to look at, very beautiful and very lifelike. The layout of the book is sober but that works very well. And behind the flaps the kids will find the surprises. A really attractive book for pre-schoolers, up to and including children of about seven or eight years old.
