De Paddestoel-klok

We have had The Mushroom Clock on our shelf for a long time and it is a beautiful and special book. It is a book that we have not thought about for a while, but that is what happens when so many new books are constantly being published. Today it came out of the shelf by chance because we were checking whether all our mushroom books were already online, and then you think: how could we forget this book!

This picture book was written and illustrated by the German author illustrator Eva Raupp Sliemann. The text was created with the help of her husband who graduated in Mycology (mushroom science). The book is therefore also scientifically substantiated and responsible.

The best thing about this mushroom book is that it goes all year round. When we think of mushrooms, everyone thinks of autumn, but mushrooms can be found all year round. There is a lot of explanation about where and how they grow and reproduce. Which mushrooms are poisonous and which ones you can eat.

The mushrooms are depicted stunningly, in great detail and they are alternated with atmospheric drawings of the seasons. A beautiful picture book for lovers of the mushroom of all ages!
