What are we reading to our youngest monsters? The Snail by Bernadette Gervais! Because this year another great picture book has been published in her non-fiction nature series for young children. Our monsters are very good at snails! The snails love to come to our garden and with all of them together. Because we have made a tiny vegetable garden.
The snails do ensure that many a harvest has failed here. The monsters also think that is a shame! But they say: Look how cute they are (hm) and they have to eat too, don't they? Of course that cannot be denied. But honestly? We prefer to see them in the book but not in the garden.
This book is great again, with the clear illustrations, fun with the flaps, filled with a understandable information and a search&find picture in the back. We are happy with this book and the monsters even more, they have learned a lot about the 'cute' snail, which they did not know!
