The Tiger who came to tea

Today we are reading a truly special British picture book! This book was first published in 1968 and has never gone out of print. It is called The Tiger Who Came to Tea and it was written and illustrated by the British author Judith Kerr.

You can tell from the illustrations that this book comes from another era. The clothing and furniture are so beautifully nostalgic! But the story has gloriously stood the test of time, as evidenced by the fact that it was recently translated into Dutch.

When you read the funny story (aloud), you’ll understand why! The story’s absurd humor remains a big hit with young children, and therefore with our little monsters too!

3+ bright shining stars for The Tiger Came to Tea, from our little listeners and their readers!
