The Wild Robot

The Wild Robot is a very different kind of book about Robots than most and it is written and illustrated by Peter Brown, an American writer/illustrator of children's books. Puk heard about this book at school and he thinkst it is beautiful. When we asked if most of his classmates had already read the book, he answered yes, most children have already read it and they think the story is very beautiful.

The book is indeed beautiful, with an original storyline. It is about pushing yourself to be at your best and to help where you can. It teaches you that you also have to think of others and that really living together with nature is very important. In fact, these are all values ​​that are also considered very important at the Vrije School. It fits in nicely with our choice of school.

Almost all the kids in Puk's class are also going to see the movie, because The Wild Robot will be in the cinemas, during the autumn break. If you look at the trailer, the movie seems very intense! It was made by the people of How to train your dragon. Those movies are probably  less intense, but we could be mistaken.

Trailers usually only consist of the spectacular moments in the movie, so the whole movie may not be that bad. For now, it will take a while before you can go to the cinema to see De Wilde Robo., We are going to read the book to the end first. Part 4 of The Wild Robot will be published this june, for now we have somthing to read again ;)))
