The Marvels by Brian Selznick is an exceptional book. It is divided into two halves, which seem to have nothing in common (you think!). There has gone a lot of thought into the story as well as the design, you notice that immediately while reading. A wonderful book!

The story is iron clad and the illustrations give it a special atmosphere, which you can see in the video. For the young snazzie readers to see this video is a special treat. That such a creative author can also draw very well and is a marvelous crafter too. Brian Selznick is an artist, no doubt about it!
