Today we're making dreidels out of cardstock because Chanukah is coming up. You can display your dreidels where ever you like or tie a string to them and you can hang them up. They look lovely anywhere. The little monsters are happy to help; cutting dreidels themselves is a bit difficult. But they're really good at gluing on the stars! That's not easy either; the larger stars are easy peasy, but the smaller ones not so much. But they persevere admirably, and look how beautiful it turns out!
How to make Chanoeka dreidels out of cardstock
We drew the pattern for you, download it as a PDF.
Trace the pattern onto coloured cardsotck, 2 per dreidel.
Place a little dot in the middle of both parts.
Cut 1 piece from the bottom up to the dot, cut part 2 from top.
You can open the dreidel in 3D.
But fold it flat and cut off the point.
Punch out small and bigger stars.
Stick the stars on all sides and allow the glue to dry,
Open up the dreidel and now it can stand up straight!
Happy Hanukkah!
