It's really autumn, and on Wednesday afternoon we went looking for beautiful fall leaves. The little monsters asked, "What can we do with the leaves?" Lots of different things, but today we're making a leaf crown. We're also making one for Bear, because Bear loves crowns too.

How to make an autumn crown

Draw marks 5cm from the edge with a pencil and ruler.

Draw a line from the beginning to end of the cardstock.

Cut off the strip from the sheet of cardstock.

Measure it around the head that will wear the crown.

Secure the strip with a stapler.

Cut off the excess cardstock.

Cut the stems from the leaves.

Glue the Autumn leaves onto the crown.

Attach the Autumn leaves firmly, using an organic hobby glue.

Place clothes pegs to secure the glued leaves.

The clothes pegs will keep all the leaves in place.

Allow the glue to dry like this until it has completely dried

Gently remove the clothes pegs, they may be a little stuck on the crown!

See how beautiful the crown looks, bear is very proud of it!

Happy Autumn!
