1 vanilla cake of 250g
150g strawberries
100g blueberries
4 small scoops vanilla ice cream
150ml double cream
2 tablespoons sugar
100ml mascarpone
A red/white/blue trifle we make with the kids today. Quick and easy that's what our mini-monsters like! And if the dessert is very yummy as well they are really happy! No heart on top but a tulip, that's really Dutch!
Wash the fruit, drain it, cut the strawberries fine.
Slice the store bought cake.
Press out circles, press the rest in cups.
Put strawberries & blueberries on top.
Beat the cream with the sugar, then fold in the mascarpone.
Spoon a layer vanilla ice cream on the strawberries.
Place the cake circles on top and push them in.
Spoon the cream mix on the cake and sprinkle with fruit,
Out of the remaining cake we cut tulips.
A real Dutch trifle tastes very, very good!
