The little monsters are having a fun at the movies and we are making a surprise for them. Not for when they get home, it won't be ready that fast because we are making a Rubik's Cube of fruit ice cubes. >< A night in the freezer, then the cubes are really hard and we can build the cube. So funny!
How to make a Rubik's Cube
Wash, drain, peel, skin and chop all the fruit.
Puree each fruit separately, or you won't get bright colours.
Stir in sugar as needed and taste the fruit for sweetness.
Wash the blender bowl before pureeing another type of fruit.
Remove the pips, peel and wash the melon.
Remove the stone and peel the mango.
Pureeing takes a bit of work because of the washing up :))
Pour the puree into the ice cube molds.
Place the molds in the freezer overnight.
Day 2: Remove the molds from the freezer.
Build up the Rubik's Cube using the straightest cubes.
We leave them loose but genly prees the together.
This cube is juist for fun, it does not have to look exactly real :))
The little monsters immediately see what it is, great fun!
