The daddies at snazzie love American Fast Food ;)) like burgers, pizza and hot dogs. English pub food like Fish and Chips is also a favorite. Of course we like to spoil them with Father's Day, but these dishes are not always healthy.
Today we make a hot dog from Mexico for the dads, but slightly adapted to the somewhat healthier Dutch way of eating. It's good to know that in both the US and Mexico everyone likes to make their own version, so only two things are always the same: a sausage and bacon or bacon! :))
How to make Sonoran Hot Dogs
Wrap the hotdogs in bacon.
Put in the fridge for 30 minutes.
Cut the buns open, not through.
Dice the vegetables.
If you have the Pinto beans you can warm them optional in the microwave
How to make the lime crema
Put all the ingredients in a bowl and stir.
Heat the griddle and put in the hot dogs.
Bake brown and crispy all around.
Cut the buns open, not through.
Brush butter on the cutted side.
Crisp the buns on the griddle.
Spoon beans on the rolls.
Place one or two hot dogs on the rolls
Place the vegetables on top.
Scatter some lime crema over the rolls and enjoy!
Wishing you all a fun Father's Day!
