Een vrolijke optocht op Keti Koti

Our little monsters found this fun book about Keti Koti in our library. The book is called Een vrolijke optocht op Keti Koti (A Cheerful Parade at Keti Koti) and the story was written by author Henna Goudzand-Nahar. The cool, unique drawings were created by artist Brian Elstak. 

In the story, two children from the Netherlands travel to Suriname to celebrate 3 family birthdays. But at the same time, Bigi Sprikri is being celebrated in Suriname, with a wonderful parade! Everyone is cheerful and having fun.

This is a fun and cheerful story, and the little monsters really enjoy it too. At the same time, the book is also informative and educational. It raises many questions, and we love that. So, highly recommended (but sadly only in Dutch)!
