Diwali is a joyful festival of lights, everything is coloured and lit, so we want to make our greeting cards super cheerful and very beautiful too. We use the cutest, brightest coloured paper, to cut diyas from. Diya's are the symbol of Diwali, the festival of lights!
How to make pretty Diwali greeting cards
Draw Diyas on the back of your coloured paper.
Neatly cut out the diyas.
Cut flames from different gold coloured paper types.
So we can compare what looks the most beautiful.
We have 3 kinds of gold paper, mat, shiny and glitter.
Place the cuttings on the card and see what looks best.
Only stick it on if you are happy with the result.
We make a wreath of Diyas and just diyas.
We also make large and small diyas.
We decorate the greeting cards with our gold marker and/or faux gemstones and we think they turned out very beautiful!
Happy Diwali!
