We came across a very nice National Geographic book, and it is made especially for kids. The book is called Everything Spring and our little pre-schoolers immediately fell in love with it. It contains the most beautiful photos of baby animals, but the text isn't very substantial. The book isn't really educational; it is more of a picture book.
There are just some poetic nonsense lines accompanying the photos. The book hasn't been translated and the preschoolers don't read English yet. There is a lot of Splish-Splash, Peep-Peep-Peep, Plip, Plop, Plip though, and the little monsters do understand that. They don't need the rest of the text; they would rather look at the pictures. :))
Still, Everything Spring is a good purchase, and we plan to buy some other volumes from the series. To see the beautiful photos and for how often this book comes off the bookshelf, to look at those wonderful pictures.
