On this day, the Declaration of Independence of the United States from Great Britain was signed. Americans call this day "The Fourth." If you say that there, everyone knows exactly what you mean. :)))
For everyone in the States, "The Fourth" means a day off from work and school, with large parades, picnics, baseball games, and finally, a very big fireworks display in the evening. People decorate their homes with American flags. Everything revolves around being happy that you are a born American and that you live in the biggest, most beautiful, and best country in the world.
