Gijsbert hoort het gras groeien

The book we are reading aloud is called The Garden Adventures of Griswald the Gnome and it was written and beautifully illustrated by the German author/illustrator Daniela Drescher. Griswold is a cheerful dwarf who lives in a rain barrel in the garden. 

Griswald loves nature and sunshine and lives here happily with his best friend, a big grumpy tomcat. He is very creative in coming up with solutions for problems and he is always ready to help everyone who needs it. Besides that, he can play the flute beautifully. 

This second book about Griswald the Gnome is also divided into short stories, with a beautiful rhyme made by Griswald interspersed now and then. A perfect book for bedtime stories! The little monsters enjoy this funny, exciting second book a lot again. (Sadly it is available only in the Dutch language)
