If you walk through the bookstore and you see Het Boekenliefje by Helen Docherty & Thomas Docherty, you are sold! The cover of the picture book is so beautiful. The drawing style is a bit retro, with beautiful, warm colors, just what we like.
We know almost nothing about the story yet, but we are already at the checkout! That's a mistake, we should know better by now ;)) Not that the story isn't nice, but it doesn't involve much imagination, to our taste.
We would like to give three stars for the beautiful illustrations, but for the story 2 stars would be enough, as far as we are concerned. It is not a picture book that is often chosen by the little monsters. But because we cannot divide, we give the picture book anyway
