Recently a beautiful picture book by the British/American/German author Thomas Harding was published, which he made in collaboration with the German illustrator Britta Teckentrup. The story is about an old, very special and world-famous house. World famous because Anne Frank and het family once lived in this house in Amsterdam.
In our opinion, both have surpassed themselves with this book. It is a beautiful, moving and very striking story and the brilliant illustrations bring it all the more to life. This picture book will stay in your head for days, especially in the times now we live in.
For many years now The Anne Frank Museum is housed here and you can go and vist it. To see where Anne has lived her short life with your own eyes, and where she wrote it all down in her famous diaries. As many people from other countries come to do too.
For children this is a piece of Dutch history in a beautiful told story. The age for which the book is suitable varies on bol.com from 6 to 9 years. For our six-year-old monsters this book is not (yet) suitable, for us from 9 - 10 years is a more suitable age.
