On July 4th, we’re making a fun bookmark to celebrate with the United States of America: a heart. If you love America too, you can join us right away. You don’t need much paper for it. ;))

Start by folding the basic bookmark
Here’s how to make a USA Heart bookmark
Start by folding the basic bookmark
Fold the sheet diagonal upwards.
Fold both corners to the middle.
Unfold both the corners again.
Fold one of the top points downwards.
Tuck the right corner inside.
Repeat this with the left corner.
Your basic bookmark is ready.
Now you can start decorating your bookmark
Trace a heart on red paper.
Cut the heart out.
Fold the pattern in half and trace it.
Cut it out and stick it onto the red heart.
Punch out little white stars and stick them on.
Cut out small white stripes.
stripes Stick those onto the red site of the heart.
Finally you glue the heart onto the basic bookmark.
Let the glue on the bookmark dry completely, before you use it in a book.
