There's also a new Kinderen voor Kinderen (Kids for Kids) song recorded, especially written for thildren's Book Week. And even more cool new books are being published, than there normally are.

There are all sorts of activities at the every Dutch school and especially in all the libraries in Rotterdam. Just quickly pick up the free brochure at your library, so you can see which library offers what and when to see where you can join in. It is going to be a fantastic week again!

If you buy a children's book worth at least €13.50 during Children's Book Week, you'll receive a free copy  of this year's Children's Book Week gift Lexie. This year's gift is written by Dutch author Kevin Hassing. Lexie is an insecure girl who dreams of being a superhero, and with her best friend Riff, she embarks on an adventure that would astonish any superhero! The beautiful  illustrations are made by illustrator Marieke ten Berg.

The Dutch Children's Book Week Picture Book is called The King Without a Horse. This book is also created especially for Dutch Children's Book Week, during that time it costs only € 7.99. The King Without a Horse was written by author Levina van Teunenbroek and illustrator Charlotte Bruijn. (Both books are only available in the Dutch language).

We wish you all lots of fun reading!
