The picture books of the Swedish writer/illustrator Elsa Beskow are still incredibly popular. Nature and fairy-tale characters play a major role in her books, which makes it logical that they are still very important at the Waldorf School. We really like that of course, the monsters (and we) also love nature and fairy tales very much but reading such lovely picture books just as much!
When you open this picture book, you first get to know the months, in two sweet verses. Then come the hours and then the days of the week, all beautifully illustrated. Those are fun lessons to learn!
