What do you need?
piece of orange and/or yellow craft cardboard
piece of black and beige craft cardboard
red origami paper or folding leaves
glue stick and hobby glue
black felt-tip pen
red embroidery thread
large embroidery needle
wooden bead
gold and silver paint and brush
double sided tape
chocolate hearts
Making decorations for the Chinese New Year is not difficult. This year it's the tiger's turn! We make tiger decorations from cardboard and paper and you can hang them anywhere!
How to make a tiger decoration
Fold a square like a harmonica.
Fold it up and down until the end of the paper.
Fold the hatmonica neatly in half en glue it.
Your harmonica has changed into a fan.
Make three more fans like this.
Later we glue them in a circle.
Now we paint the bead golden.
While the bead dries you make a tiger head
Cut out the PDF template.
Trace it on cardstock.
Trace the muzzle too.
Cut it out, black stripes inclusive.
Stick on and draw eyes, nose and mouth.
Roll up some embroidery yarn.
Tie it off on top.
Cut the tassle on the bottom loose.
tie on a thread and stick the bead on .
Stick the fans together with the yarn in between.
It should look like you see in the picture.
Stick your tiger in the middle of the fans.
Now find a good spot for it!
