We are reading a very beautiful picture book to the little monsters: The Girl with the Seeds in Her Hair. It was written by Nancy Bosmans and it is a very special book, perfect to read aloud today, on Ketikoti. It gets the conversation going about a very difficult subject for young children. The story is sad but at the same time hopeful. Our preschoolers already know that, fortunately, things are not like they used to be. They empathize with the girl in the book and understand that is why many people are celebrating today.

The gorgeous illustrations in this book were created by Lisa van Winsen. Her work is so expressive and truly contributes to our preschoolers experiencing the story intensely. Highly recommended, this beautiful picture book!
