Het raadsel van Londen, with Geronimo Stilton

Our mini-monsters are already practicing reading with AVI M5, and they chose this Geronimo Stilton book from the library. It's called The Riddle of London and the author of the extensive Geronimo Stilton series is  Elisabetta Dami,  

Geronimo is a private detective who has to solve a mystery. It feels like a cross between a comic strip and a book.We've never read a Geronimo Stilton book before, even though probably hundreds have been published, so we're very curious. We'll be listening attentively to the reading because the monsters really enjoy the story!

The book feels reads as a cross-over between a comic- and a storey book, which works very well with the monsters. The illustrations are rich in visuals, and there are hidden jokes. We quickly get why this is an appealing book for young children. Of course it is not written to please us and it inspires the kids to read with pleasure.

The cartoonish illustrations are funny and colourful, made by various Disney illustrators, all working under the name Larry Keyes :)))
