Until recently, snazzie used to go through several rolls of cling film and aluminum foil (to a lesser extent, but still!) each month. Not only to keep our fresh groceries fresh, but also to cover plates and bowls in the refrigerator, To store baked goods and dough in the fridge or to roll out dough or fondant icing.
It is very annoying to use so much disposable plastic, we have been replacing plastic with glass, wood or metal for some time now. So when we received three nice beeswax cloths at work, as a gift, we immediately tried them out. It took a moment of getting used to, but now we are very happy with the beeswax-cloths!
Our box contains 2 smaller and 1 larger cloth, very handy, those different sizes. In the smaller cloths for example we keep our cheese and vegetables by Rechtstreex nice and fresh, in the vegetable drawer of the refrigerator.
The large cloth fits perfectly over the large mixer bowl, with pancake batter or whipped cream, anything that needs to be cool. You can press the cloth snugly around it.
We also use the large cloth to place over the cut-out cookies, so that they do not dry out in the refrigerator. We wrap the dough - which need to rest - in the smaller cloths, But the beeswax-cloth also goes to school or work with us, with a sandwich in it, in our bags.
I'ts ideal, really happy with it! :)))
