Julian is a Mermaid

Last July 27th, it was party time again in Rotterdam; it was the annual Summer Carnival, and what a party it was! There was a wonderful parade during which the happiest, infectious music was played. The most beautiful costumes passed us by, and we saw lots of dancing people and children. Everyone was very happy!

On July 8, a new picture book titled Julian Is a Mermaid was released.  This super fun picture book was written and brilliantly illustrated by American theater actress / author and illustrator Jessica Love.

We leafed through the book and were instantly sold on it. We saw the fun, sweet grandma with her funny, equally sweet grandson Julian, who loves mermaids very much. After flipping through the book, we knew immediately: this picture book is perfect for the summer holidays.

And indeed it was. The little monsters are also completely in love with this book and about Julian. We have already read the story aloud many times. If you read this book, you will immediately understand why we started talking about the Summer Carnival in this blog ;))) We would like to highly recommend this amazing book.
