2-3 large ripe tomatoes, chopped coarsely
4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, divided
4 slices rustic Italian bread
2 cloves garlic, halved
coarse sea salt, to taste
chopped fresh basil leaves
In anticipation of Christmas dinner, we are making classic tomato bruschetta today. So we can first taste it and then decide whether we will also make this as a starter for Christmas dinner. Or whether we prefer to eat it for lunch or a snack, in between. Vegetarian, fresh and light, it looks delicious to us.
How to make classic tomato bruschetta
Chop the tomatoes coarsely.,
Add 2 tablespoons olive oil.
Fold it together.
Leave to marinate for 10 minutes.
Slice the bread thinly.
Fry it until golden on both sides.
Chop or shred the basil.
Heap tomato onto the bread and sprinkle with coarse sea salt.
Sprinkle basil on top and finally drizzle with olive oil.
