No more fun Sinterklaas picture book to read to the little monsters than 'Santa, please bring me a gnome' by An Swerts. The sweet, softly coloured illustrations by Eline van Lindenhuizen give the book a lot of charisma.
It's exactly what you want from a Sinterklaas book, warmth and cosiness. What a great book! Not only in our opinion, because the book is already translated into English, German and Spanish. Only in those countries Sinterklaas does not stop by to bring presents, it's Santa instead.
The story is very original with a brilliant outcome and the mini-monsters really empathize with Tess. Tess writes a letter to Sinterklaas, she doesn't need any present, she just wants a real gnome. Tess wants a friend she can take anywhere with her in her bag.
She is already looking forward to December 5th, she wants the gnome friend to come so badly. How can Sinterklaas make that heppen? Will he disappoint Tess or does he have a little gnome in stock somewhere? What do you think?
