Tomorrow is the 4th of July, so we’re making a fun American-themed craft for the occasion. The little monsters choose to make an American flag out of wooden craft sticks. They get to saw, paint, and glue—it’s great fun! The only part that takes a bit long is waiting for the paint and glue to dry thoroughly. But hey, that’s all part of crafting!

Here’s how to make American flags
Start by painting 2 sticks, in red, white and blue.
Set the sticks aside and let the paint the dry well.
Cut card stock to the size of 8 sticks stacked.
Saw 1 white and 1 red stick in two halves each.
Glue first the whole then the half sticks on the card stock.
Press the sticks firmly together and let the glue dry.
Then stick on the 4 blue halves, press on and let dry again..
Punch out stars and glue them onto the blue sticks.
3 Guesses? Let the glue dry again!
But what can you actually do with these little flags? You can place them on the dinner table or glue a stick to the back. Or you can attach small magnets to the back and put them on your noticeboard or on the fridge. These little flags look festive wherever you display them.

If you celebrate tomorrow, have lots of fun on the Fourth!
