What do you need?
Polymer clay, in various colors
A clay cutting strip
A gold-colored head pin with an eye
A gold-colored ring
A pair of wire cutters
an oven
Clay varnish
A small brush
A chain or key hook
Today we're making a clay bubble tea pendant, for a necklace or a keychain so you can hang the bubble tea on your bag. The little monsters will have a hard time choosing; they both love it. But you don't have to choose, you can easily switch the pendant. First on a necklace and then again on a keychain. :))
How to make a bubble tea pendant
Knead the clay soft and smooth.
Roll it into a cylinder.
Cut off a little piece.
Knead a piece of black clay.
Roll it into tiny balls.
Cut the balls in half and flatten them.
Cut off a piece of white clay and knead it soft.
Roll it into a ball.
Cut in half and flatten.
Press the clay onto the bubble tea.
Roll two thin strips of clay.
Wrap them around each other.
Press the straw onto the cup.
Cut off a head pin wit eyelet.
Preheat the oven to 110°C - max 120°C
Bake the pendant for +/- 20 minutes, until the clay is hard.
Allow the pendant to cool a moment on the baking tray.
Set aside, to cool completely for a few hours.
Varnish the bubble tea and let the varnish dry well!
Bend the ring on the bubble tea open en slide the necklace on.
Wear your pendant on a necklace or a key ring.
Now we're going to make some more bubble tea, but this time for drinking! :))
